May 15 accident took the life of Toledo man, injured three
A two-vehicle accident in Lincoln Country took a life, and injured three others, including a Canby teen.
On Thursday, May 15, at 4:11 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20, near milepost 26, in Lincoln County.
A preliminary investigation indicated a westbound Toyota Camry, operated by Anthony Joel Estrada (37) of Toledo, crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound Ford F-250, operated by Rylee James Demarre (age 18) of Canby, head-on.
The operator of the Toyota (Estrada) was declared dead at the scene.
Demarre and his passengers, 23-year-old Joel Makana Kaopuiki, of Salem and Kener De Jesus-Ajanel (age 30) of Tumwater, Washington, reportedly suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The highway was impacted for approximately five hours during the on-scene investigation.
